Has your gynecologist ever asked you, "how are your knees?" If you are thinking about checking to see if you are on the page for menstrual problems fear not, you are in the right place. If you have ever had a doctor address any menstrual problems without asking about your knees it is about time you learned why that is such an important question. The nerves that originate in your lower back supply everything from the waist down. One of the spinal nerves that originates in the middle of your lower back has two branches. One goes to the ovaries, uterus and bladder and the other branch goes to the knees. If this nerve is subluxated and not functioning correctly then you may experience problems with your periods and at the same time your knees. In fact in close to 20 years in practice it has been rare to find a patient who had menstrual problems who did not also have some kind of problem with her knees. I have had patients who reported getting their period only twice a year! Can you imaging living with that case of PMS? After getting adjusted these patients and many others with less severe problems had two periods in the next four weeks. From there they typically have a normal cycle. If you suffer from menstrual problems a hysterectomy, the most common surgery done on woman, will probably eliminate the problems. Or you could get adjusted and correct the problems.
