DNFT can help athletes in several ways. Injuries can heal quicker and proper alignment can improve your flexibility. Whether you are a weekend golfer, a professional athlete or anyone in between getting adjustments can only benefit your game. A chiropractic study done over ten years ago tested athletes performances before and after a series of adjustment. What the researchers found was that their performance improved by as much as 16%. Imagine what that would mean to you with just a 10% improvement. If you play golf and average 100 strokes for 18 holes a 10% improvement would bring you down to 90. If you run a marathon at 3 hours (180 minutes), 10% would bring your time down to 2 hr, 42 minutes. If as a batter your solid line drive lands in front of the warning track, an extra 10% would put that ball over the fence. If you are just trying to keep up with your kids on the baseball court at the park an extra 10% will put you back in the game. Sports require two things physically; strength and flexibility. You can get by with more of one and less of the other but you can do a lot better if you have both. Strength comes from repeatedly working a group of muscles. If you regularly play a particular sport you will gradually build up the muscles needed in that sport. Continue to practice your sport and you will run faster, hit the ball farther and last longer. As much as you need that strength you also need flexibility. Tiger Woods can hit a drive 325 yards not because of his strength but because of his flexibility. Most golfers when they swing lift their left arm up to 9 o'clock. Tiger Woods is so flexible that he brings his left arm all the way up to 1 o'clock. That is past vertical and he can do that because he is flexible. What that translates to is club speed. While the average golfer hits with a club head speed of 90 mph Tiger hits at 130 mph. Flexibility will improve your golf game, allow you to swing a baseball bat better or simply jog with greater ease. It will improve your game and while that may not make you a pro it will help you to enjoy the game more. If you want to improve your game give us a call right away at
